SO DISAPPOINTED....have seen previous ones. All have been great. I had heard this before but wanted to give it a go and take a guest from OS. This one left us just wanting to leave after our luke warm soggy apple pie which sat next to a teaspoon of cream , the food was JUST ok . In the past it has been better. The pumpkin was steamed not roasted and raw . The salad with the quiche was all dead and flat on the plate .
The show !!! Depressing and VERY WEAK story line. Hard to hear them speak. And there were many awkward moments where we thought they had forgotten their lines. FLAT. The whole love story was just meh ! Heart land needed a heart beat
(which was the theme) The funniest part the cook Bazza ( think that's his name ) and his naughty one liners , so Aussie, which added water and life to their drought and the girl that got tangled in her ribbons during the wedding scene , and her helper not having a clue what she was supposed to do .
Animal acts ...... SO boring ....... the horses dull and bored. The cattle knew exactly what to do and went straight to the pen. The horse whisperer was screaming bad . Trick riders on slow loping ponies. All the animals look like they were just .....meh! Well looked after and groomed nicely. But was like ...here we go again. The visuals were great as usual and the fake water scenes done well . That's IT !!! They need to inject some life into the the act ...some naughty mini horses would be cute..... a greasy pig comp... some sheep or goats ..The dog act was terrible, he was there JUST for the treat , dropped the glasses he was supposed to fetch from the house... and then got rewarded for NOT doing what he was trained for . Visually it's just dull and boring . Just very poor form . The riders looked like a bunch of pretty ex pony club girls doing their best . Very few men, which was evident and ill casted . Service is always fast and efficient. The entertainment pre show in the hall was just ok . Maybe a band would inject some life into the crowd instead of a albeit very pretty lady singing what looked like karaoke....just very mediocre. Maybe some more acting and less singing. Come on guys .... It's suppose to be a world class show that's become a high school production and the very best. My guest from overseas was less impressed and smiled at the end . I was embarrassed to say the least . I would NOT recommend the show to anyone and there is absolutely no point in paying for the better seats. All seats are well positioned. Not sure i would ever go back again. Shame .
