Brilliant children's falconry experience

点评：We had bought our son a falconry experience for Christmas, and went along for this last weekend. He had a brilliant day. Everything is very well run at the centre. We were looked after by Olivia who was funny and kind and very knowledgeable. After introducing all the birds she got the children cleaning out some of the aviaries. The day was a good mixture of learning about a falconer's day and actually getting to do things. And a much appreciated hot chocolate and biscuit part way through, as it was a very cold day! The kids learned about the equipment used, how to tie a special knot, all about preparing the food for the birds, and then of course they got to hold some of the birds - for us it was Bournville the beautiful kestrel, Bailey the barn owl and Rossi the Harris Hawk. Watching them fly between the kids was amazing, and I got lots of great photos.
Thank you so much to Olivia and all the team at the centre. We had visited before just for a look around, and so we really loved getting to meet the birds properly.
