点评:Completing the 'Essential Cooking Skills 4 week course' (Class of 2025) was my retirement present to me. I had completed an evening and a one day course at Dublin Cookery School before, both of which I greatly enjoyed so I was really looking forward to the course.
What a fantastic experience and a truly wonderful way to spend January. I would have considered myself a competent cook before I started, but I learned so much, both about cooking and about myself. The course is incredibly well structured and organised and Gerry, Gráinne, Cindy and the team (Sabine, Vera, Antonio, Jytte, Matteus - to name but a few) were always on hand to help. I don’t know where they get their energy! The guest chef days were particularly insightful, with a really high standard of professionalism and expertise on display. I now have an encyclopaedia of recipes and advice which I look forward to using and enjoying over the coming months.
We had an amazing group of students from very diverse ages, nationalities and backgrounds. Learning together was tremendous fun and I look forward to us meeting up again in the near future. The pop up restaurant at the end of the course, where we cooked for our invited guests was the pièce de résistance of a special month. Thank you to the DCS Team and the January Class of 2025! I’m missing it already!
