点评:To initiate our new camping equipment, we discovered that our originally scheduled destination wasn’t available. We headed out searching for another camp ground and eventually selected Okanagan Falls Provincial Park. We parked in one of the remaining sites that was surrounded on three sides by large, shade trees. Located in the traditional territory of the Osoyoos Indian Band, this lovely campground has 31 unserviced sites. We pitched our tent that attached to the car on the flat, gravelled surface that was quite close to the dish washing area and rest rooms. Privacy was given by the large shade trees as well as the angle at which our car/tent combination sat. A paved, one-way circular drive connected the entrance and exit to this campground. Our two- night stay was enjoyable and we found the on-site managers to be very helpful, knowledgeable of the surrounding attractions and friendly. During our stay, we hiked some of the trails, using the bridges to cross the river. The only drawback was the lack of hot water. Taps were placed conveniently around the campground, giving quick access to potable water. Since we live nearby, we decided to enjoy the quiet and restful ambience of the campground rather than visit the local wineries, bike trails, KVR hiking areas of the falls or golf courses.
