点评：We went to the Paul Kelly show last night (29/8/2025) at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre. It was the first time we had been to a show at this particular venue. We go to many shows at various venues in SE Queensland and NE NSW.
Paul Kelly was great as always and his support acts were also good, we especially enjoyed Lucinda Williams.
The staff directing you to your seat were courteous and helpful. The same cannot be said for the staff at the food venues or bars. The selection of food was particularly poor and way overpriced. $29 for small serving of beef brisket with a little serving of cold slaw and a stale bun. Beer was $12.70 for beer you can buy at Dan Murphys for less than $4 per can. And that is if you can get served. I waited in line and when I got to the front of the line the staff person serving took off with another staff member looking in fridges and simply left me standing waiting to get served while the food I had just paid a fortune for went cold. She then proceeded to have a chat with another staff person about some issue which seemed to be about her roster. Eventually she came back didn't apologise just simply said what can I get for you.
As I said the concert was fantastic, but the rest of the experience was disappointing at best.
Unless it is something we definitely want to see we won't be going back, and we will not be eating or purchasing drinks there.
Worst food and hospitality service I have ever experienced at any venue in Australia.
