Excellent experience with SL Wide Tours

点评：Just finishing a fantastic tour of Sri Lanka organised by SL Wide Tours. The service all the way through has been top notch. We had a rough plan of things we wanted to do and Ms Siu in the office turned that into a detailed itinerary with suggested activities (safaris, cooking classes, hikes etc). We chose and booked our own hotels but I know SL tours will do that too if you want - they have relationships with several up-market Sri Lanka hotel chains.
They quote a price for the car and driver, and a separate price for the activities, so it's all very transparent.
The key, of course, is they arrange a private car and driver/guide for the entire trip. Our driver, Chathu (Chathuranga) was excellent. We couldn't have had a better experience. Good driver, nice car, very reliable, excellent English, friendly and very knowledgeable. He is also extremely well connected in the tourism industry so got us the best seats in a culture show in Kandy, put us in the best viewing area on the whale watching boat, arranged the best safari drivers and vehicles etc. Chathu acted as a guide in the smaller places but SL Tours provided specialist guides in all the UNESCO sites.
I really can't speak highly enough about the experience and would definitely recommend getting a quote from SL Wide Tours if you are thinking of visiting Sri Lanka. If you don't know what to see, they'll make suggestions based on how much time you have in the country. I'm sure all their drivers are good, but if you can get Chathu, then that's even better!
