Thailand Animal Exploitation at its Worst
Snake Farm and Monkey School的点评
点评：Snake exploitation - includes teasing, hitting, grabbing an pulling, grabbing by the head, forced milking, forcing pythons mouths open and jamming rubber square into mouth to show teeth. Staff hold snakes in front of face and let them strike repeatedly, teasing them with head movements to cause a strike. Snakes fear for their lives, obviously. They don't strike for no reason.
Snakes are dull and lifeless until hit, pulled, smacked, and grabbed. They finally get some energy in them to 'perform' because they fear for their lives.
Is this entertainment?
At the expense of wild-caught animals who just want to be left alone?
People in the audience have been bitten over the years because proper safety measures are not in place. Just google it. Staff told me that king cobras often escape the shallow pit and go up into the audience!
Cages are not clean. Snakes have ticks, fungus, parasites, and very little space to do anything. Fresh water is by hose 1x per day. Water is city water with chlorine.
Snakes are forced to do 45 minute to hour shows up to 10 times per day.
Ask for their Thailand Zoo license. There isn't one. They cannot qualify. None of the snake shows in Thailand can.
Birds, owls, and monkeys are often kept. Monkeys are abused in horrific fashion when not performing as instructed.
Monkey "school" means they beat the monkeys senseless until they learn stupid tricks.
This place should be closed down as soon as possible.
Snakes are stressed to the breaking point and often die in captivity.
Burmese staff told me that "rescued snakes" are brought here to die when they should be let free in the rainforest.
This would never happen in Russia!!
