Great experience, well worth the expense.
Sacred Monument Tours的点评
点评：We did the Sacred Monument back country tour on a vehicle with a native guide. Took 2.5 hours. We got to see numerous back country sites away from the travel loop that regular tourists don't get to see.
The tour guide did a good job.
I strongly recommend that unless you have a 4x4 or high clearance vehicle, don't take your vehicle on the regular "road", as it is very rough. I didn't want to damage our rental vehicle, so we went on the guided tour instead in their vehicle. It was worth the peace of mind not damaging the rental and having to have them come out to bail us out.
Note that the terrain is rough, so if you might have issues with bouncing up and down, don't go. Also, when we went it was very dry and 100 degrees with LOTS of red dust everywhere. Make sure you bring a lot of water. Sunscreen and a hat will be mandatory. Also leave your camera/binoculars covered when not in use. I forgot to cover my binoculars and had a bit of trouble cleaning them up later on.
We enjoyed the experience and would recommend it.
