Great Experience with NorthLink Ferries and MV Hrossey

点评：I travelled from Aberdeen to Orkney aboard the MV Hrossey for the Island Games, and had a fantastic experience from start to finish.
Despite a small hiccup with my fare not being fully paid, the shore-side staff were incredibly helpful and quickly resolved the issue. I was on board within minutes. Everyone I interacted with, both on land and at sea, was polite, friendly, and made me feel genuinely welcome.
I spent some time on the top deck watching us sail out of Aberdeen, which was a lovely way to start the journey. Later, I headed inside for some food. The onboard restaurant had a great variety of high-quality options, and I went with the fish and chips, which were delicious. Even though it was busy, I found a seat beside a lovely couple from Shetland who were heading home after a cruise in Greece, a great chat and a nice touch to the evening.
After dinner, I explored the ship and found a reclining seat to settle into for the passage. It was a smooth and comfortable journey all the way to Orkney. The only downside was the lack of power points at the seats, so I couldn’t charge my devices. That said, I had good 5G coverage for most of the way, and the free onboard WiFi worked well once connected.
Disembarking in Orkney was quick and easy, and I was soon on my way to my accommodation.
All in all, a very pleasant journey in a clean, welcoming environment. I’m looking forward to my return trip in a week, and would absolutely recommend NorthLink Ferries. I’d definitely use them again!
