点评:From Cape Spear all the way down to St. Vincent, the scenery is lovely. There are lots of little fishing villages, old churches, and historic sites to see, and some hidden gems in terms of restaurants. The people of the Avalon are wonderfully friendly as well.
Just be sure to pack a good coat because even on a warm, sunny day you can run into fog, rain, and cold winds off the sea. Be sure to manage your expectations because that fog can prevent you from seeing some of the sites (like the whales feeding just a couple of meters off the beach in St. Vincent), but it's all part of the Newfoundland experience. In fact, the fog makes the Cape Spear lighthouse(s) look all the more ghostly and impressive.
Also, don't let your gas tank get below half a tank because there are some stretches of the highway where gas stations are few and far between.
