My overview of the campground!
Blue Lake Provincial Park的点评
点评：We camped in an RV for a week at the Blue Lake Campground (non electric site)
The beach- water is very clear! Sandy bottom and shallow, so a great place to swim and play around in the swimming area. The beach fills up fast, mostly families with young kids, some playing music, overall a very busy but easy to enjoy vibe. No amenities at the beach (a few picnic tables) most people brought a wagon filled with their stuff for the day.
The campground - we were in site E72 and we loved it. Big site with trees all around, you could barely see neighbors. Water access right across street on F, through a small path from the site. If you’re looking at booking a site, definitely read the map to get a sense of the sites, the ones closer to the highway were more secluded if you want space, or the sites through E.
F-L seemed really packed, you’ll be right next to your neighbors with less privacy.
Amenities - the showers were free, water was only one temp but it was warm and very pleasant. The problem was they were all constantly out of order. The bathroom facilities were constantly out of order too, mostly out house style toilets. If there were more modern ones, we never saw them, likely because the ones closest to us were out of order.
Trails/kayaking - great place to kayak with a few options to launch. There’s a smaller lake or Blue Lake to paddle. Great kayaking. Really nice walking trails right in the campground, ranging from light and easy boardwalk trail to more rugged.
The crowd - Lots of young families with kids.
