The ‘Circular’ footpath around the island, is still CLOSED !!

点评：So choosing to walk around the island like I’ve done so many times before, I set off in an anti clockwise direction, and at the 1st security check point where you cross the ‘Great Deep’, was a sign warning you that the footpath was impassable at a certain point on the route. Not quite taking in the severity of the notice we pushed on regardless, until 7 miles later when reaching the other side of the Great Deep’ inlet, was confronted with the actual closure of the footpath at the exit security post at the sluice gate, just as it had said.
SO, the morale of the story, if you’re hoping to walk completely around the island, you still CANNOT at least until the foreseeable future.
FURTHEMORE, it is not permissible to walk across the MOD land to return to the entrance of the island, and should you ignore the warning sign at the beginning (as we did today) you are faced with another 7 mile walk going back on yourselves, in order to return to where you started.
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED 😫
