Pretty location with amazing views over St Gallen and towards Lake Constance - a good work out on foot!

点评：I was staying for a night in St Gallen and reviewed Trip Advisor for places to see on my travels - I saw Drei Weieren and it looked pleasant and fairly close to the city so I decided to walk there in the early morning. What I didn't realise from the map was how high it was over the city and, faced with a steep path that seemed to go on for ever, I was in two minds whether to continue...but I was so pleased I kept going.
When I reached the top of the steep path and steps I saw the three ponds, and there were several people taking exercise and swimming. The views looking over the city were amazing and you could see across to Lake Constance and beyond. I took a different route back to the city which was a straight set of steps that headed directly towards the City and the Cathedral area.
It was a really good work out heading there on foot but I was pleased I carried on...it was well worth the effort.
