点评:I recently moved to the area and was going on my morning run when I decided I wanted to eat lunch over near Watersound. Since the bridge is out, I figured I would walk from the beach to the street and head out from there.
There is no visible signage saying that a fee is required to enter the facility from the beach. From my understanding, the fee is only for parking. As soon as I started walking from the beach to the entrance of the facility (to go to the street) I was stopped and harassed by the local ranger. He couldn’t have been more rude and said that I was blind because I couldn’t see the signs (there are no signs if approaching the park from the West). I told him I could pay the fee or leave but he decided to run my ID and let me know I could’ve been in serious trouble.
Other reviewers have clearly had the same problems with this guy. I understand I was supposedly in the wrong, but unless I was destroying property or shuttling 15 people through the entrance I fail to see what trouble I was causing.
Need to get this guy out of there before he runs off any actual tourists or business. It was a ridiculously unnecessary process for both of us when he could’ve just kindly asked me to leave or go and pay the fee.
