点评：If you have a day to spare while you're in Cebu, make time for a boat trip that includes a stop at Caohagan Island. I recently carved out some time on a free weekend in April 2025 during a business trip, and this short beach stop was exactly the tropical break I needed.
I arrived via a private boat tour around 10:00 AM, and it was perfect timing as the beach was still relatively quiet. The water is exceptionally clear and the sand is well-maintained, giving you that picture-perfect island view.
Since it's a small island, the beach itself is quite small and can get busy quickly as more tourists arrive. I noticed a lot of souvenir shops behind the Caohagan sign. I suggest you bring cash as they do not accept card payments if you want to purchase some trinkets to bring home.
The beach has free bamboo beach chairs beneath the palm trees, which is a big plus. There are also cottages available to rent. I spent about an hour just relaxing on one of the free chairs, enjoying the tranquil scenery before we had to move on.
The Verdict: If you're looking for a quick, beautiful, and relaxing beach day, Caohagan Island is a great choice. Go early to enjoy the calmness before the crowds arrive!
