Blue Nile Falls and historical Gondar - superb experience

点评：We had only Saturday and Sunday available - including travel time - to see for ourselves something of what we had read about the Blue Nile Falls, the churches of Lake Tana and the historical sites in and around Gondar. It seemed like an impossibly tall order to expect to have enough time and attention to take in so much in just two days. Based on a personal recommendation we reached out to Gamo Travel. They understood the task straight away and somehow, as if by telepathy, understood just how we like to travel. We didn't need any change to the suggested itinerary. Much more importantly, the way it all worked out was so smooth, so hassle-free, and each little request we had - to linger here a little longer, to take the boat to the Blue Nile lake outlet on the way back, to dig deeper into this priest's story and to learn more about the book collection in the museum, to be sure to be off the main roads by nightfall - both guides (one each day, each city) were equally flexible, quick to understand, obliging and informative, whilst being good enough consultants to steer us rather than caving in to our less-informed whims! We saw more than we knew was there to be seen, learned more of the culture than we had hoped and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Choosing appropriate, caring guides for clients, selecting the right comfort level, picking the level of detail to show - these are the marks of a truly professional, tailored operation. I simply couldn't fault the service, and I'm a picky customer, honestly.
