A must for anyone with ancestors from Valguarnera Caropepe
Museo Etno Antropologico e dell'Emigrazione Valguarnerese的点评
点评:My husband and I visited Valguarnera to explore the roots of my family—my father and grandfather lived here before migrating to Melbourne, Australia in the 1950s. Upon arriving in town, we were fortunate to meet Paolo, who generously offered to show us around.
Paolo went above and beyond to help us uncover our family history. He took us into the local church and town hall archives, where we found precious details about our ancestors. Nothing was too much trouble—after assisting us with the records, he introduced us to many locals (some of whom we discovered were actually family!), gave us a personal tour of the town, and even opened the immigration museum for us late in the evening.
The museum, housed in a beautifully renovated palazzo, contains an extraordinary collection of historical items that tell the story of Valguarnera’s past. It also highlights the incredible work Paolo does in helping families trace their lineage. I highly recommend this museum to anyone with ancestral ties to Valguarnera.
A heartfelt thank you to Paolo for his generosity and for the remarkable work he does.
