点评:We visit Morro Bay around 3 times a year. Can not count how many times I have driven past this museum and said "we should stop in there some time"!!! As a building it is pretty small but the total display is a fairly large grouping of a varied collection of maritime items. Was going to say boats but there are several below the surface research and disaster recovery vessels(?) scattered around the grounds. Included was a 30" Coast Guard Surf Rescue boat. I had a cousin that operated a larger version of this boat when he was in the Coast Guard. These craft still operate out of Coast Guard bases in several locations. My wife and I are in the dwindling group that lived and remember WWII. Inside the small building is a description of a WWII sinking just off the coast when Morro Bay and the Pacific coast was actually the front line of the War In The Pacific. All in all it was a very pleasant 2-3 hours and we happily left a nice donation in the jar on the counter.
