点评：Our family of 10 adults spent a memorable day in the Bromo Semeru Tenggeru National Park, thanks to Richard who was our very competent and skilful driver cum guide. That Richard spoke good English having spent 5 years in the United States was a huge bonus. We were able to communicate with him with ease.Richard helped us to book 2 jeeps to take us to various locations within the Bromo National Park which we had selected according to our interests. This option turned out to be very cost efficient compared to taking the standard tours . We really enjoyed the time spent at Mt Bromo as we explored the region at our own pace and watched a beautiful sunset sans the morning crowds.Apart from Mt Bromo we also spent time in Surabaya and Malang before and after our Bromo excursion.As Richard hailed from Malang, he was able to offer his advice and recommendations on our itinerary,hotel and restaurant selections all of which turned out to be better than what we had researched on our own.He was always forthcoming with suggestions even well before our trip. During our journey, he would often go ahead of us to check out the safety and cleanliness of places of interest before we disembarked from his vehicle.Richard accompanied the ladies in our group on our shopping trips in Malang and like the true gentleman, helped us to navigate the traffic, carried our shopping bags and acted as our translator and negotiator in the local markets.The ladies really appreciated his service.Above all Richard’s honesty and transparency in our dealings with him gave us the peace of mind to enjoy our holiday immensely,this being our first trip to East Java.,an underappreciated gem for families.
