Very poor service at the Base Cafe. Cold place and drinks not hot No cakes on view to choose from. No serviettes.

点评：We went one morning for coffee and cakes. It had all changed since our last visits. When we went in I could see the tables were laid for meals. Ii asked the man st the counter if they just did coffee snd cakes, and he said probably. There were no cakes on display. He gave us a menu and pointed us to a table having said they don't tske cash. This was all my friend had.When he did not cone to the table to take our orders, I went to the counter and ordered. He brought the coffees and cakes to the table but no serviettes. The coffee was warm, ratger than hot.After a little while, we were both getting very cold.
There were only a few other people there, and we noticed as we got up to go that the people on the next table had left most of their expensive hot chocolates on the table , so they must have been poor too.
We won't be going there again
The Base Restaurant needs vastly improving A warm welcome and help on entry would help, with clear information. Cakes should be on display. Heatt should be on on a cold day Drinks should be hot, not warm. Serviettes should be given. Someone to serve you at table if they give you a menu and point you to one, or explain how to be served. A greeting in welcome, someone to check that your food and drinks are ok, and a cheery goodbye would help too.
