点评:Foy Provincial Park is a non-operating Ontario Provincial Park which has undergone major changes since it's inception in the 1980s. Originally it had a trailer and tent campground with round clearings still evident leading down to the beach. A junior ranger camp was situated on the east side of the park with portables which were routinely vandalized. This camp was under the jurisdiction of the MNR and not Ontario parks the unsightly portables were removed about 2 years ago. Since I discovered this spot two decades visitation has increased exponentially and degraded the visitor experience. To control crowding and prohibited activities such as walking your dog without a leash, drinking alcohol, camping, and open fires Ontario Parks has installed numerous regulatory signs at every junction inside the park. This has depreciated the aesthetics and for visitors searching for a more natural environmental setting. The park is crowded In the summer months. It is not unusual to encounter over 50 vehicles parked along the north side of Red Rock Road. Outboards and Sea-Does also arrive from the water and the drivers use the venue to drink alcohol. Noise from radios is not uncommon. In short, because there is no access fee and a lack of public facilities and access to open water elsewhere on Round Lake Foy Provincial Park has become in recent years too popular and it's ecological integrity is threatened. For first time visitors take precautions to avoid the poison ivy in the parking area along the road.
