Claiborne Farm的点评
点评：This huge and historic farm is truly the shrine of thoroughbreds. Ten Kentucky Derby winners were foaled here, and six of the 13 Triple Crown winners were sired by Claiborne stallions.
We were given our tour by a full-time employee who participates in every phase of the operations. He had in-depth knowledge and personal tales about the farm, including informative, funny, even some harrowing episodes.
We learned how things from insemination (which is not simple) to workouts are handled. We saw where Secretariat and his daddy Bold Ruler had both been stalled.
The cemetery includes the modest grave of Secretariat, along with those of many more champions. This place is bound to affect anyone who saw these beautiful animals in action.
But interacting with the present stable of stallions is pure joy. Every animal has a distinct personality when you give them mints and hugs. Some are playful or shy or real performers when they want more attention. These are winners, champions and sires of champions. It is a pleasure to be in their company. This tour is terrific.
