点评:Please note this review is exclusively for the junior course, and rating is relative to another Treetops in the Hills area we visited recently as well.
While it certainly is still great fun for kids, I found the courses to be lacking compared to what we've seen at the Hills facility. Here they only have 4 courses in that age group, two of which are very short and easy, with ropes right above the ground. Out of 2 "Pro" courses, one was more akin to the shortest course in Hills, and another one still easier than either of Pro courses there. I didn't feel like there was enough challenge for my 6 year old, and older kids would likely find it boring.
The highlight of every course is a flying fox, and only one of them is long enough to gain any speed. Some of them are very short (way shorter than what you'd see on ordinary playgrounds), and also they are pretty badly balanced. About quarter of the time, kids don't reach the end at a convenient pace and get stuck with their feet dangling. Haven't seen that happen in the Hills facility at all apart from one time when it was obviously a kid's fault.
This leads me to another problem - lack of control over the situation from the staff. The red signs with "No Entry" written on them are plentiful, but since kids get stuck on the flying foxes all the time, parents ignore them and walk in danger zones, because they can't just call staff every minute. And there is no dedicated person looking after the junior course. There should be. Some kids were clearly ignoring safety rules which were outlined at the start and there was no one there to remind them. One boy was literally pushing kids in front of him on flying fox and then going straight after, colliding with them at the end. It's just like a snowball - one parent gets in the red zone to help their kid out, one kid does something which isn't allowed, nothing happens, then one become two and then in a few minutes everyone is walking where they please and doing what they like.
At one point, there came a group of morbidly obese teenagers and joined under-8 junior course... I'm not sure if staff directed them there because they couldn't do the adult courses, or if they decided to have a go themselves, but either way staff paid no attention to it until they all got stuck while going wrong way and creating a huge traffic jam. It honestly looked ridiculous - imagine tiny 4-6 year-olds and next to them kids twice their height and probably 5 times their weight on one course. It didn't look safe to me. Their knees were dragging on the ground on a flying fox, am I the only one who thinks this isn't right?!
Bottom line, there should be at least one staff member fully dedicated to the junior courses keeping an eye for problems and reminding kids to follow the safety rules. Otherwise it turns into complete mayhem...
