点评：Burnham Beeches itself is really lovely. I visited and enjoyed a visit here. I paid a very reasonable £1.50 for 2 hours because I didn't plan to stay long. On my way back to the car I enjoyed a lovely meal in the cafe, which again was very reasonably priced.
I obviously lost track of time. (Often happens with my adhd). A few days later I got a parking charge notice demanding £70. They didn't specify the reason. I appealed the charge. They told me in their rejection, that I stayed longer than the 2 hours I paid for.
Considering that a whole day would have only cost an extra £1.50, I think that their penalty charge is completely out of proportion.
I had pointed out in my apeal that I visited again a few days later and paid £3 because I intended to stay for most of the day, and that this shows my overstay on the previous stay was purely unintentional.
But they were having none if it. A lovely day absolutely spoiled.
