Charming homestead, grist mill, park like setting and museum
Sgt. Alvin C. York State Historic Park的点评
点评:Wonderful park in a neat location with a scenic drive. So much history to learn about York and how he lived his life. The grist mill is no longer her operating but you can freely walk inside to see all of the. Once working parts. There is a playground for the littles to burn of energy and very nice restrooms. There are two pavilions to eat lunch in if it is raining and other picnic tables with charcoal grills to have a cooking picnic. The river is slow flowing and I imagine in the summer it is full of people wading in it to cool off. Definitely worth the visit. You must stop at the general store on the way. It is a neat slice of history as well! The fudge is amazing. Watch for the fudge signs and you’ll know you’re there.
