Brilliant trip - an experience not to be missed
Jacobite蒸汽火车的点评
点评：Ignore the negative reviews - this trip is a fantastic experience across a magnificent part of the Highlands. History, scenery, heritage, railways you have the lot. Mallaig is a treat at the end of the journey too.
The staff are super; attentive, kind, humourous and make the day one to remember. They pointed out all the history along the journey, local fishing practices and the names of places we passed. Yes HP was mentioned too. The seats were wonderfully comfortable, all our needs were catered for and we thoroughly enjoyed it, didn’t want the day to end.
We loved to see the smoke rising from the engine as we travelled past lochs and mountains. But quite frankly, even if it had been a diesel engine the magic would have been the same (and anyone knows that steam engines can’t run during dry periods there - fire and dry woodlands don’t mix). Great to see Brian with his daily message on a board to all passengers too!
We need to keep these magnificent engines running for future generations, and the price was fair for the journey considering the cost of running a steam engine, which is frankly not cheap! We would gladly go again when we are up here, and frankly can’t wait to do so.
