Nice site but only if you get a lakeside pitch, no view otherwise.

点评：This campsite has great facilities as in the shower block was nicely built, spacious and hot showers that did not turn off every ten seconds. They were always clean, tidy and nice smelling, and well stocked with soap, hand towels and toilet paper. Kay one of the cleaners was lovely, attentive and friendly and very helpful, always smiling.
The campsite is divided up into sections. It has a tea room, bar, small shop, reception. Due to staff shortages it was not always open, for food. There is a big outside seating area and a sheltered markee (for dogs) as well as a conservatory for eating. The food was homemade and good. We enjoyed the steak night.
Camping can be around a lake, or in a large yard. Lake side has a lovely view, however the yard has no view apart from tall hedges and is pretty boring if you just want to sit in the caravan or awning. This could be easily fixed by cutting the hedge down a few feet so it could still be a wind break but there is a nice view too.
The hard standing is very hard, good luck putting your awning pegs in, and the slope is very sloped. Blocks, chocks and bricks will be needed both front and back and side to side. Again this could easily be fixed with terracing, which would not affect drainage if done right.
They are very particular about keeping your rig, awning and vehicle off the grass. But you can sit on the grass. Each pitch has electric and water.
The lakes are pretty to walk around and the views outside of the caravan yard are lovely.
They also say on their website and signs that there is a bike hire place and craft centre, both have been closed for sometime. Also there no washing up facilities, you wash up in or by your rig, even though the web site says that there are. So the signs and website need updating.
There is plenty to do, good walks, Kelmarsh and Lamport house gardens and tea rooms were lovely, Foxton locks is a must to explore, triangle lodge and much more.
