点评:A good 30 minute excursion from Vienna. Website sucks and is likely inaccurate to tour times, which appear to be 50 minutes per tour. You park 100 feet below in a gravel parking lot and walk up to the castle (10 story climb). I assume they may let taxis go up for older or disabled visitors, but signage is not clear. We had limited time and asked if we could pay for a tour and then bail out. “No” was the answer. Blunt and unhelpful. This is a very odd bunch that runs the place. Very inhospitable. Go figure. They operate an old castle which is an odd business to be in. If you go, just be prepared for inflexible attitudes and highly inconvenient signage and info. Not much in English. Still, it’s a grand place even if you just walk around, which is all we were ‘allowed’ to do. There is a beer garden near the drawbridge. All in all, it’s super cool. Just odd attitudes. My guess is that the tour is worthwhile — but cannot attest to that.
