Pretty grim…

点评：This was pretty grim and outdated. And I don’t think our expectations were high…even those weren’t really met.
The spa facilities were pretty minimal. The pool was icy cold. One jacuzzi that was impossible to get into. It is, in reality, a golf resort with a ‘Brittas Empire’ style leisure centre with a few steam rooms.
Aromatherapy room had no aroma.
It, all in all, lacked ambiance.
Tranquility room was messy, and looked like it had been knocked together with some bits from the local garden centre.
You also have to schlock between two ends of the building as all the families aren’t together - which is a bit awkward in your little dressing gown.
Afternoon tea was served away from the spa in the main restaurant which means getting changed and heading over to a different building….at which point I expect most people just go home as we did. No point getting dressed again to go over to sit by a cold pool. Other guests at the spa seemed to share our disappointment.
Afternoon tea was lack lustre. The restaurant was very outdated, with no atmosphere, but the staff were nice.
It was nice to have a day away from the kids and catch up on some reading, but it did feel all a bit ‘cold’. Made the most of it as we could.
