点评:Jagaraga temple is a temple of the dead. it located at jagaraga village,Sawan. This temple is a witness of the struggle of the Balinese people against the Dutch.the most interesting part for me is reliefs here, you can see an ancient car with an armed man driving it. also reliefs of the plane crashing, Dutch people who are drinking beer, dogfights, and many more.Jagaraga itself has a meaning of "guard yourself".during colonial time, fighters often came to people's houses to guard themselves from attack, then they will shout with "Jaga raga ... jaga raga". it is the second time i visited this temple, the first time was ten years ago.this year i revisited north bali this month,i had a one day tour ,and this temple is one of my visiting places.the priest ,Ketut gave me a brief history of the temple, also explained some religious meaning of the temple. his grandson helped me to take photos, especially with those reliefs.if you visit north bali,do come to this temple and have a look.
