Eagle Dunes Golf Club的点评
点评：Wow, this course would need one hell of a lot of work to get me to come back and I don't believe that will ever happen. It all starts at the tee boxes. They are mowed that is all I can say about them. Large patches of bare ground is the norm. The ground between the tee boxes and the fairway are some of the roughest I have ever seen. I do not believe anything has been done to maintain these areas since the course was built twenty years ago. Numerous fairways have been eroded over the years as the water from heavy rains have washed out the ground at the edges of the fairway bunkers. It does appear some attention has been paid the greens, most of them are playable, I found them to be very fast. It is customary in Fl for the tee boxes, greens and fairways to be overseeded while the permanent grass is dormant in the winter. NOT SO at Eagle Dunes. I only live here in the winter so I can't speak to the condition you might find in the summer. I doubt it would be considered a quality course considering how it is kept during the peak season. This golf course was built in a cow pasture. With large trees and lakes not been a prominent feature in pastures the degree of difficulty was left to the bulldozers to be as creative as possible with dirt. Consequently, you can expect 40% or more of your shots to be affected by the ball being above or below your feet on the edge of the fairway or in the rough, despite the ball having landed in the middle of the fairway. Another 20% will be in the rough having landed there. I lost two balls that landed in the fairway and rolled into overgrown washouts on the fairway. I must admit I am not a big fan of "Links" type courses.
