Poor service, extremely busy, not great
Spa At The Abbey Hotel的点评
点评：I took my mother here for a Christmas gift, and the relax during a busy period. This was not what we got.
I have complained via email to the spa and also via Spabreaks.com (who I booked it with) but neither have replied.
We visit the spa approximately every 3 months as are local, reasonably priced and on the whole usually have great service.
On the 29th December it totally different. When we arrived there was confusion with our times for treatment and afternoon tea, despite being called the day before and confirming times with the lady on the phone (and confirmed in this email). This was sorted fairly quickly.
When we got into the spa facilities it was not relaxing. There was approximately 15-20 children. The majority were well behaved but there was some that were going in and out of the sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. I informed the father of the children that the facilities were for over 16s and was told they could do what they like! I also informed someone on the desk but nothing was done.
Throughout the day there was no where to sit. The pool was busy so unable to swim freely, the sauna, steam room and jacuzzi were all full so we left the facilities. The spa was clearly over subscribed with people.
The afternoon tea was its usual high standard.
I was extremely disappointed with my massage (the bit I look forward to the most). It was meant to be a deep tissue massage but despite telling the girl doing the massage a few times that I like the pressure to be firm it wasn’t. The girl had long nails which I’m guessing hindered the massage. I did not feel as though I had a massage at all - more like someone was covering me in lotion and rubbing it in!
Both my mother and I did not have a good experience. It has tainted my view of the facilities.
We are both disappointed that we haven’t been contacted for an apology.

我和我妈妈的体验都不好。这玷污了我对设施的看法。
我们都很失望，因为没有人联系我们道歉。
