Interesting Space, But the Art Is… Up for Interpretation

点评：We visited Museo Jumex during our trip to Mexico City, and it was definitely… an experience. It’s a modern art museum spread across three floors. You take an elevator to the top and work your way down, which is a nice and simple layout.
As for the art itself—it’s a mixed bag. There were definitely a few interesting pieces, but a lot of it left us scratching our heads. For example, one exhibit was literally just a regular shoebox on the floor. Another was a super long, single-seater car. There were loose footballs scattered around, various paintings, and some pretty strange installations.
It’s the kind of place where some might find deep meaning, while others (like us) might just be confused. That said, the museum is free, which is a definite plus. If you’ve got a bit of time to kill, want to be indoors (especially if it’s too hot or raining), and don’t mind a bit of artistic mystery, it’s worth a quick visit. You can easily spend an hour or so exploring.
Just don’t expect everything to make sense—and maybe that’s the point.
