点评:This little museum is right inside the Berkeley Springs State Park. It’s free to enter although there is a suggested donation where you can put some money into a little box. It really explains various exhibit‘s about the topography of the land and how the springs were formed and then also who has visited the springs like George Washington came there and bathed in the springs there is a placard outside of the state park as to where his little“bath tub quote was. There is a Docent is inside, she was very friendly and informative. There’s some nice photo ops inside with a steam bath contraption that you can get into and take a photo with.
You do have to walk up some stairs to get to this museum however I do believe there was some ramps for handicap as I recall. It won’t take you that long to get through this little museum but it is well worth it so that you can understand how the springs came to be. It’s amazing that Berkeley Springs was a town that was formed strictly to be America’s first spa town!
