beautiful views, food and massage...but something was off

点评：My mum and I booked to have a spa day here (we have previously been twice before but years ago) my mum doesn’t live in the UK so when she was visiting me we decided to treat ourselves to a spa day and thought nothing would be better than out in the country at Loose Hill.
I must day, the food was delicious, and the massages were great, in fact my mum said it was one of the best she had ever had!
However this was let down by the staff, the welcoming was a little subdued, we were almost looked upon as an inconvenience. What really knocked us was the staff member who took our coffee order from meters away from us, there was no hello and no smile, and she scooted off as soon as we’d said what we wanted (although it all seemed rushed), my mum asked for water when she came back with our coffee’s and she seemed annoyed by this (we didn’t understand the annoyance). Then she brought one glass for both of us, she had spilled some on the tray and when placing the glass down it dripped all down my legging and shoe, I dont think she even noticed as she rushed back to her colleague in the corner of the dining room. It became clear that we had interrupted her breakfast/dinner? as she looked extremely unhappy and continued eating her half plate of food. I am sorry that you had your break interrupted and if this had happened to me at work then I would be a bit miffed too, but that was not mine or my mum’s fault.
The staff just seemed so unenthusiastic and were just 'meh', no smiles, no polite conversation, and unfortunately this does dampen the mood a little, especially when you had paid a good amount of money for a luxury spa day.
On a good note…the jacuzzi outside is phenomenal and the perfect temperature, it was a cold day so this was gorgeous!
