The most beautiful garden - full of whimsey and charm.
York Gate Garden的点评
点评：York Gate is utterly beautiful. Down a small back lane in Adel, York Gate is a small garden, split into ‘rooms’ with an additional meadow area beyond. Staffed largely by volunteers, there is a cafe, plant and gift shop, as well as a small visitors’ centre at the entrance to the garden.
You can visit the cafe and plant shop without going into the garden although I have no idea why you wouldn’t go though into the garden if you were there.
Just a beautiful place, with lovely ponds, pools, a rill, little gazebos, pathways and plenty of places to sit and admire different vistas.
There are so many different areas that if would be impossible not to find something of inspiration to take back home to your own garden.
I wish I lived closer as I would visit every week if I could.
The cafe is also lovely, with a good selection of well-priced food and excellent cakes. The plant shop is quite pricey but these are healthy plants grown on site. The gift shop has a lovely selection of garden and plant-related items.
