Château de Gy的点评
点评：We spent several days in Gy for a relaxing family vacation. We had read multiple reviews for the chateau and many explained the the "difficulties" with the staff. Those reviews are all true when they say that the caretaker is difficult and tours may or may not be available.
The chateau is advertised to be open each afternoon starting at 1400; we arrived a few minutes early and found the old man who "runs" the place sitting on a plastic chair in the alley beside the gate. We asked if the chateau would open at 1400 and he waved us away while he drank his beer. We came back at opening time and asked again. This time he explained that it was private property and we would have to move our car. The cleaning lady who is just arriving saw our interaction and explained that the chateau would be closed today. No other information was offered and the old man went back to sitting in his plastic chair and drinking his beer in front of the gate.
We hear the tours, when given, are quite interesting. This was not our experience, but we knew that going in.
