Beautiful view but challenging with the changes

点评：This used to be a big favourite! Weve done it with kiddo on my back, and now with a 7 year old. This time was ROUGH! Must note! You can no longer access it via Moore street (the entrance AFTER the parking lot), the old logging trail is closed (unknown until when). This means you must start out from the parking lots and that section of the trail is difficult. We had to go quite slow with a 7 year old, there are nearly zero smooth sections….have good shoes on cause you are stepping lily pad to lily pad style on the rocks or finding your footing between the rocks. We grabbed a walking stick at the start (leave it behind for others when done) which did help some. It took us nearly two hours to get to the lookout, rested for few minutes with a snack and turned back. Once you are close to the waters edge the steps are larger and you grab trees to pull yourself up or help get down - this we were prepared for. Of course the view is worth it like looking at Caribbean waters! NOTE: parking is now reservation in advance for a time slot and you will get ticketed if you don’t return in time - there is a parking attendant. You can no longer just park on the road as too many people were coming. It is $20 for 4 hours (insane in my opinion). We didn’t know this and arrived around 3pm - he allows us in as some people had left - by the time we got our gear on and porta-potty breaks we left at 330pm and returned by 8pm . You really have to manage your time if you have young kids! I was wondering why the adults passing by were praising my kid for doing it but after 30mins I began to understand why lol ….for a person who’s mildly active this was a challenge for me! We all had sore feet at the end! I will definitely be finding a new place and not returning. 😔
