A most wonderful and relaxing holiday in Englands most scenic area.

点评：Norbury Wharf are a fantastic outfit. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We can’t sing their praises enough.
Free parking , a restaurant, chandlery too. We rented Planet for five days. The booking was easy , price was great. Planet is well equipped ,clean and comfortable, everything working as it should. The boat is very simple to operate so novices should not be deterred from hiring a canal boat. The steering is ponderous but you’ll pick that up in the pre departure training session. After that , well the boat is steel and you’re only doing 3 miles an hour so it’s easy to stay out of trouble.
NW provides various suggested routes to suit the length of hire. We chose a relaxed route but were so relaxed we didn’t even complete half of it. But we loved it. We had perfect weather to enjoy the quintessential English countryside, crops ripening in the fields , swans in the canal , beautiful old churches , lovely pubs . Absolutely wonderful.
We soon got into a routine , stop for the night anywhere along the canal that has a good view , lazy morning , breakfast listening to the birds. Motor a few miles , stop at a quaint village to explore , have lunch. Then on a few more miles , maybe a walk in the countryside, and then tie up for the night again. It doesn't get more relaxing than this.
We finished our five day trip last Friday , today we booked a ten day trip for next month. Book with confidence. Norbury Wharf is a great company , friendly staff , lovely boats and their central position on the Shropshire Union canal means that there plenty of options in choosing where to go.
