Terrible dinning experience
Auldhouse Arms的点评
点评：We arrived at 15.20 and went through to the bar area for food. There was only one other table vacant and they were having drinks only.
We both immediately noticed how freezing cold it was the minute we sat down. The fire wasn’t lit however one of the blankets on the backs of the seats came in very handy for over my knee. Nice little touch but not good enough.
The waitress took our drinks order and asked me if I wanted ice in my soft drink to which I replied no. However she poured the drinks herself and put ice in both glasses.
After patiently waiting the waitress came back over 15 minutes later to take the food order. The delay was due to her setting the tables for the evening.
We waited 40 minutes for our starters. After 25 minutes the waitress came over to say our starters would only take a few more minutes. An apology would have been nice. As more than a few minutes had passed I said to my husband that I wanted to leave. Unfortunately he convinced me to stay because he was so hungry.
The starters of crispy Korean cauliflower and Korean chicken wings was lovely and the portion sizes were good.
The main courses were very disappointing. The chicken bacon and leak pie was stodgy. I came across a chicken bone whilst eating. Luckily I eat very slow, if I ate fast I could have choked.
My husband’s fish and chips was definitely pre-packed. The so called haddock was tasteless, the chips were burnt and the mushy peas were not edible.
The waitress didn’t ask if everything was ok or if we needed more drinks.
We left around half of our main courses on our plates and went to the bar to ask for the bill. Yet again we didn’t get asked if everything was ok.
We have been dinning at the Auldhouse for the past 6 years as we are local to the area. The vast majority of times the food and service has been excellent. Unfortunately we won’t be dining here again anytime in the near future.

酥脆的韩式花椰菜和韩式鸡翅作为开胃菜味道不错，分量也足。
主菜非常令人失望。鸡肉培根韭菜派口感黏糊糊的。我吃的时候还碰到了一根鸡骨头。幸好我吃得很慢，不然要是吃快了，我可能就噎住了。
我丈夫点的炸鱼薯条肯定是预包装的。所谓的黑线鳕鱼淡而无味，薯条都炸焦了，豌豆泥也难以下咽。
服务员没有问我们是否一切都好，也没有问我们是否需要加饮料。
我们剩了大约一半的主菜，然后去吧台结账。结果服务员还是没有问我们是否一切都好。
过去六年，我们一直光顾奥尔德豪斯餐厅，因为我们就住在附近。绝大多数时候，这里的食物和服务都非常棒。很遗憾，我们近期内不会再来这里用餐了。
