Elan Valley的点评
点评：What a glorious day out.
We arrived at 9:45am to be fairly empty car park but by 10:45am it was getting full. There are two car parks and disabled parking by the visitor centre.
It’s £3 for all day parking at the moment which is a bargain and you purchase a ticket to display in your car from the visitor centre.
The visitor centre has a 12 minute informative video about the history of Elan and walks which was good and a nice shop and cafe.
Collect a free map from the visitor centre and ask their advice about walks. There are all types of walks for all abilities and even wheelchair users and pushchair users can enjoy a day out.
Bike hire is available on site but this was really expensive at £40 each so we didn’t bother. I’d suggest taking your own as it looked amazing for bikes.
We did 24,000 steps and did two dams and surrounding areas and got back to the car at 3pm. We all enjoyed it and stopped and had a picnic and a wonderful ice cream at dam 2.
The road to Elan Valley visitor centre was fine with plenty of room but we didn’t drive by the lake as it looked narrow at times.
