点评:Im 57 and I visited this section of the wall with my much fitter son.
The cable chair was not working and the climb to the wall was about 1.5km on a slow and steady insidious slope up. A few photo breaks (excuse breaks!) along the way.
At times absolute hell, but also absolutely amazing and so worth it upon reaching the top.
I expected the wall to be hard but this was really hard. Being a short person the steps are really high, take a walking pole (with a rubber tip) for extra leverage. My height 5’2” and I was raising my knees to chest height to climb a step.
The before and after aspect of each tower can be quite foreboding as the steps up and down are sometimes just a suggestion, may just be a couple of protruding bricks or boulders, but the breezes are amazing on a warm day and the scenery spectacular. You will never forget it 🥰
We did 10 towers and that was 6 less than my son normally does on a normal jaunt, he gave in to his mother’s exhaustion 🥰😂.
So happy I did it and would recommend (but take the cable cars up and back!)
