A great family campground
Natchez Trace State Park的点评
点评：We camped with friends at Cub Lake Campground #1. The campground was neat and clean, with a lot of activities for the kids.
The tent sites were big and most had some space between them for a little privacy. Most sites also had at least partial shade. The most private and most shaded are #11, 13, 15, 18, although 18 is closest to the bathroom and a trail head). A few sites at the end (#21, 22, 23) were next to the lake - these book up far in advance.
The bathrooms were a bit dated but they cleaned multiple times daily, and the showers were fine. There was hand soap but sometimes the towels were out. We brought our own hand towel after the first time.
There’s a boardwalk across the lake to the large sandy beach. There’s a shallow area for small kids plus a roped off section from the lake for safe swimming. There are additional bathrooms near the beach with an outdoor shower to rinse the sand off.
Near the beach is also a dock where you can rent a kayak or paddle boat. We saw several families using them.
Overall this was a great tent campground and we will definitely be back. We don’t have an RV, but we saw people with bigger RV’s, and more numerous people with pop-ups.
