Awesome experience to feed the kangaroos
Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park的点评
点评：We were tendered in Kangaroo Island, where it was a hot 32 Celsius. Our research had indicated that this was such a small island/population that a cruise ship was likely to soak up all of the available tourism industry, and that it was unlikely to be able to find an independent tour operator with any availability. So we booked a ship excursion, to the Kangaroo Island wildlife park.
The big 52 seater tour buses departed from the pier, which was crowded with lots of people waiting for their tour, but a ramp led you inside the air conditioned terminal building which was a better place to wait. Our tour was finally called at 215pm, and we got the back seats on the coach - not bad seats to watch the scenery on the hour long drive to the park. Our guide provided informative commentary along the way.
The wildlife park was a wonderful experience, much more than we expected, with lots of kangaroos, koalas, quokkas, little penguins, meerkats, birds and more. Despite the large numbers of visitors there was plenty of opportunity for everyone to sit and feed the kangaroos - amazing experience not to be missed!
We left the wildlife park at 430 and drove to a beach (can't remember the name) which had spectacular views for a 15 minute photo stop.
The final leg of the trip was back to the pier. We got one of the last tenders at around 615.
