点评:Have visited both sections of these moors... the Thorne ones are hard to access and sadly appear to be more neglected than the Hatfield ones. Hatfield Moors is a gorgeous area to explore... you will need to just walk with your head up, your eyes and ears wide open.... just to take in all the varied areas of nature... birds, bugs, flowers and other animals... and its VERY quiet which in these days is a wonderful thing...there are some lovely benches to just sit and be mindful of the environment. There are 3 ways to enter Hatfield Moors.... Via Woodhouse, via Lindholme and the less explored via Wroot.... there are 2 good car parks (the one via Lindholme is the better one in the winter)...it will take you more than one visit to get the full impact and don;'t be afraid to explore the various paths rather than stick to the signed ones... oh, just a word of warning.... from May - Sept its really important to keep your dogs on a lead due to the adders that live there.... ENJOY !!
