Limahuli Garden and Preserve的点评
点评：We (a couple) are new members of the National Tropical Botanical Gardens (NTBG) and visited all 3 of the gardens on Kauai during a recent visit. This review is for the accessibility-focused Guided Cart tour of Limahuli Garden, which started in July 2025. Due to my low vision, I would be unable to read the guide provided by the garden or the signs and was concerned about navigating the numerous steps, many without rails. A phone conversation with a representative encouraged me to book this tour for us..
Our guide Mari warmly welcomed us at the parking lot and assessed our needs. She situated us in an ATV and drove us around the garden. She shared her vast knowledge of the trees as we passed them and stopped at specific ones so we could examine them more closely. We exited the vehicle at certain plants and viewpoints as well. Her passion for the preservation efforts of the garden was inspiring. I cannot imagine someone doing a better job on this tour, which made our time at Limahuli special.
I appreciate the NTBG's efforts to preserve and present the garden. The Guided Cart tour will give more people the opportunity to learn and enjoy it.
