Turtlely enjoyable morning walk
Sea Turtle Beach Walk- Archelon的点评
点评：We were met at the beach by two very enthusiastic and knowledgeable volunteers, particularly Freya who was coming to the end of her stint of volunteering that summer. After hearing about what we might see on the beach we walked along the sand to cordoned off areas where turtles had hatched that previous evening. Although there were no babies still there, we could see their tracks as they had made their way to the sea the night before. All the time the volunteers were interacting with us, sharing their passion for the protection of the turtles. Eventually we were shown the beach side camp where the volunteers lived during turtle nesting season. There we were able to buy mementos of our turtle walk to further fund the protection of the turtles.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable morning spent with very knowledgeable and friendly volunteers.
