点评:We went to feed the Alpacas and it was INCREDIBLE!! The people running it were so knowledgeable and clearly adored the animals. They knew so much about all of them (there’s 2 pregnant females and those babies will take them to 50 total!!). It was lovely to see how well looked after they all were and how much they meant to the owners. There were 4 adults a 9 year old in our group and we all had such an amazing time! I honestly feel like they’re under selling themselves at £5 a ticket! Incredible value for money! We will definitely be back and will probably trek with the alpacas next time!
I must admit that learning about all their names was a highlight for me!!
NB. There is a picnic bench within the enclosure, if you don’t want to be up close and personal with them while eating I would suggest eating before/after your visit! It was hilarious to us and added to the experience (they didn’t steal the food or anything, but if you had carrots I’m not sure you’d keep them!)
There is also a camping toilet and at the top of the slight hill there’s a building to wash your hands. I wouldn’t recommend it for prams or wheelchairs, although pre covid they brought alpacas to visit special needs schools and it was very successful, so if a member of your group has additional needs but is mobile I would absolutely recommend it - I’m looking to bring my Autistic brother.
