点评：What a difference two years can make
Having recently explored the vibrant and tranquil art galleries in Naples and Florence, I was eager to return to Compton Verney to appreciate their Naples collection. Unfortunately, my anticipation quickly turned to disappointment. Upon arrival, I was met with a chaotic scene filled with boisterous and noisy children, making it nearly impossible to focus on the art.
I approached a volunteer on duty, hoping for some understanding, but she simply shrugged and stated that the company policy encourages children to express themselves through play. In mere ten minutes—my time in Naples—children were darting back and forth from the grand hall, and a wooden “play installations” as a school playground and crawling over it like ants, fighting to pump the handle. This experience was not only frustrating but wholly unenjoyable, and I cannot envision returning under such circumstances.
Compton Verney, I regret to say, seems to have lost its way. It feels as though you’ve turned your back on art lovers, a sentiment further supported by the declining quality of your exhibitions. Once regarded as the jewel of Warwickshire, I now perceive the place as little more than a cheap trinket. It pains me to say this, but it doesn't even odeserve one star.
You need to do better!
