点评:Visited with my daughter a couple of weeks back. It was fabulous, great folk art collection along with an eclectic mix of other art collections and gardens by Capability Brown. We loved the fact it was so accessible, very disabled friendly, The Italian collection includes bottles of fragrance that relate to the pictures So a painting of Vesuvius erupting has a bottle that smells of...well... erupting volcano! Amazing!
We went to one of the guided and discovered textile artist, Elizabeth Allen. Brilliant guide. Lots of interesting information. Inspiring.
Very low cost entry for carers, those on universal credit and pension credit. Some of the most helpful and lovely staff I've ever come across (the attendant from Swansea and the two women on reception stand out), good food in the cafe, great toilets, gift shop with really good books (spent way too much money on books!). Honestly can't fault it. This is how an arts venue should be.
We spent the whole day there and honestly I would have gone back the next day if I could have.
